Health & Saftey
Employers are obligated to provide a safe and healthy work place for employees. We can help you comply with the requirements for doing this.
In California you must have a written Illness & Injury Prevention Plan (IIPP) even if you only have one employee. This plan involves the following components:
- Evaluating your existing safety efforts
- Establishing company policy for safety
- Developing a code of safe work practices
- Employee training
- Supervisor training
- Creating and maintaining a safety committee
- Conducting regular safety inspections
- Correction of unsafe working conditions or practices
- Investigating accidents
- Documenting all of your efforts
You may need additional safety compliance requirements depending on your industry and the potential hazards or risks in your workplace:
- Ergonomics Plan, if you’ve had more than one employee diagnosed with the same Repetitive Motion Injury (RMI) within a 12-month period (CA)
- Hazard Materials Communication Program
- Policy prohibiting violence in the workplace
- Workplace Emergency Plans
- Respiratory Protection Program
- Hearing Conservation Program
