Who we are:

Beverly Wood, COO

A qualified HR professional with 18 years of experience as a generalist.  Her background includes government contract HR compliance, development and management of HR policies and practices for several divisions of an international manufacturing company, and office administration.  She has served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Human Resources Association for several years and is a member of the national SHRM and Southern California PIHRA.

Kerry McCoy, SPHR-CA, President

Nationally certified by the Society for Human Resources Management and has a Professional Designation in Personnel Management from UCLA. Former VP HR. Over 20 years experience in HR management including training, recruiting, retention, litigation avoidance and compensation design and administration. Habla español. 

Helene Schneider

Brings over thirteen years of experience in human resource management. She was the 2001 President of the Santa Barbara Human Resources Association, and earned the Distinguished Leader Award from the California State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management. Helene is also currentlythe Mayor of Santa Barbara. She earned her Professional Designation in Human Resource Management from UCSB Extension and has her national Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification.

 

Michele Jackman, MSW, MA (contract)

Michele Jackman has been assisting Executives with Change Management Processes, and  the Motivation of staff for over 40 years. She has an extensive background in Environmental Protection, and was the Technical Advisor for the original Clean Up, Conservation, Control, and the Prevention of Pollution (C3P2) Program for the Department of Defense.  She has worked as well for the National Forest Service, National Parks,  Cal Trans Environmental, and for California State Parks on their Leaderships and Management programs.She has provided tailored facilitations and  trainings to various governmental agencies through UCD Extension, and through her own company since 1982. She taught Organizational Psychology at UCSB,  and has provided services to literally hundreds of government workers.

Originally from Ecuador and Panama, Ms. Friden worked as a certified translator in Colorado before returning to California. She has over 10 years of interpreting experience and has been doing bi-lingual training for the past three years.
